I shot this Ferrari F1 2023 unveiling commercial in Maranello with director Umbra and the team at Umbra & Moviechrome. We were essentially documenting automotive theatre, so the brief was straightforward: capture the car with the precision it deserves, nothing more. We kept the lighting architectural and the framing tight, letting the engineering speak for itself. The location itself, Maranello, carried weight, so we didn't fight it. I used a combination of static and fluid camera work to emphasize both the car's stillness and its latent power. The goal was to make you feel the engineering without resorting to the usual red-and-black drama. It's a commercial that trusts its subject.
