KFC Crunch Box

I shot this KFC Crunch Box commercial in Cape Town with director Joris Noordenbos and the team at Chucks Studios. We were after that crispy, golden texture that actually reads on camera, so we leaned into practical lighting and got close enough with macro work to make the product feel tactile without losing the appetite appeal. The challenge was balancing speed on set, since we had limited time with the talent and the food, but keeping the image clean and sharp where it mattered. Joris had a clear vision for the pacing and we matched that energy in how we lit each setup. It's the kind of job where the gear serves the shot, not the other way around, and the result speaks louder than any description I could give you.
