Palabras Cruzadas

Palabras Cruzadas is a narrative film directed by Xavi Miralles and produced by Totem Producciones. Shot on the Black Magic Production Camera 4K in 2.35 aspect ratio with Canon L Series lenses, the project demanded precision across every frame. I worked with a tight crew, Beatriz Montalbán on focus and Martí Palazón on grip, to lock down a visual language that felt deliberate without announcing itself. We shot in Apple ProRes, which gave us flexibility in post while maintaining the density we needed for the color grade. The art direction from Patricia García shaped the spaces, and my job was to light them in a way that felt lived-in rather than composed. It's the kind of work where the technical choices disappear if you've made them right, and the story just breathes.
