Galbusera

I shot this tabletop commercial for Galbusera with director Paolo Tonoli at Moviemagic International in Milano. We were working with tight product geometry and needed to hold detail across pastry surfaces without flattening the form, so we went handheld macro probe work paired with controlled LED rigs to keep heat off the set. The challenge was balancing shallow depth of field, you want that creamy separation on the hero product, while keeping the texture readable. Paolo wanted a naturalistic light story, nothing too constructed, which meant fighting the instinct to overlight. We kept it minimal, let the product do the talking, and shot on a workflow that gave us flexibility in post without losing that tactile quality tabletop demands. It's the kind of work where your lighting choices matter more than your camera body.
