McDonalds Big Mac Bacon

Shot this tabletop commercial for McDonald's Big Mac Bacon with director Joris Noordenbos at Tablespot in Milano. We were working tight on a food hero that needed to look appetizing without feeling overlit, so we kept the lighting sculptural and let the product breathe. The challenge was capturing all that layered texture, the char on the bacon, the sesame seeds catching light, without the whole thing looking like a still life painting. Went handheld on some passes to get movement into what could've been static, and used practical bounces to keep the contrast controlled. It's the kind of shoot where patience with setup pays off more than gear does, though having the right tools in the kit definitely helped us nail the look Joris wanted. Barcelona-based but always ready to chase good work wherever it lands.
