For Dinadax, a stop-motion tabletop piece directed by Gustavo Arens at Grilled Cheese Studio, I shot on a Canon 5D with Canon Cine lenses, capturing everything in Canon Raw at 1.78 aspect ratio. The setup was meticulous, frame by frame, with Adrian Egea operating Dragon Frame while Gustavo and Lis Acconciagioco handled the animation work. Art direction by Lis kept the details razor-sharp throughout, and Esther Padial produced the whole thing in Barcelona. Stop-motion demands patience and precision, especially when you're working at this scale, so every lens choice and exposure decision compounds across hundreds of frames. The Raw workflow gave us maximum flexibility in post without sacrificing the tactile quality that makes this kind of work sing. It's the kind of project where gear matters, but only because the creative vision demands it.
