Baer

For the Baer tabletop shoot with director Esther Padial and El Apartamento, I wanted to keep things tight and controlled. Tabletop work demands precision, so we built a lighting setup that let us hold detail in the product while keeping the background breathing. The challenge with food and object work is avoiding that sterile, overlit look, so we committed to practical angles and let the geometry of the setup do the heavy lifting. Esther had a clear vision for the pacing of each frame, and working with her meant respecting those compositions without overthinking it. Barcelona-based but shooting globally, I've learned that tabletop isn't about flash, it's about understanding how light wraps around form and where shadow serves the narrative. This one was about restraint.
