Kinder Country

For Kinder Country, a tabletop commercial directed by Niels Thomsen at Wonderful, I shot with a hybrid setup that gave us both speed and precision. We ran Bolt and Phantom Flex 4K for the high-speed work, paired with an Alexa mini LF for the wider, locked-off shots. Zeiss Supreme Primes handled the optics throughout. The challenge with tabletop is that every millimetre matters, and the sensor size differences between cameras meant careful planning on focal lengths and depth of field. We leaned into the Phantom's capability to stretch time without losing detail, which worked perfectly for product reveals and liquid interactions. The Alexa mini LF kept things sharp and colour-graded beautifully in post. It's one of those jobs where you're essentially building a rig that lets the product breathe on screen, and the gear choices aren't just technical specs, they're creative decisions that shape what the viewer actually sees.
