KFC Nugg it!

For the KFC Nugg It commercial directed by Paolo Tonoli, we shot tabletop and macro work in Milano using a Phantom and Alexa 35 paired with Supreme Primes to capture the product's crunchiness and dippability. The brief called for energetic, playful food work with dramatic lighting and motion control on the nuggets themselves, so we leaned into high-speed capture on the Phantom for the splash and pour shots, then dialed back to the Alexa for the wider kitchen moments with Colonel Sanders. Hard light sculpted the golden-brown tones and deep reds of the sauces, keeping everything punchy without feeling oversaturated. The motion control work on the nuggets let us nail those hero moments where texture and sauce interaction matter most. It's the kind of shoot where gear choice directly affects whether the food reads as crunchy or just wet, and the combination of those cameras and lenses gave us the range to move between macro detail and full-frame energy without losing visual coherence.
