I shot this tabletop commercial for KFC Taste Cheese Kazakhstan with director Natascha Brandt at Chucks Studios, and we filmed it in Amsterdam. The work demanded precision lighting and macro-level control, where every surface and reflection had to earn its place in frame. Tabletop work like this is where you really live with your gear, dialing in the exact fall of light across product and plate. We built the lighting rig to handle the texture of melted cheese and crispy coating without losing the appetite appeal, keeping everything natural-looking despite the technical scaffolding required. The constraint of shooting in a controlled studio environment actually freed us creatively, since we could dial every variable and shoot multiple angles and takes without chasing location logistics. It's the kind of work that looks simple until you're three hours in, adjusting a single light by two centimetres because the highlight shifted. That's where the craft lives.
