I shot this commercial for Finesse under Adrián Egea's direction, and we went in clean with an Alexa Mini and Leica Summilux glass. The brief was straightforward, but those Leicas have a character that just works, especially when you're not fighting the image with a bunch of post moves. The Alexa Mini's sensor plays beautifully with that lens set, gives you room to work in the highlights without losing the blacks. We kept the lighting practical and motivated, let the optics do most of the heavy lifting. It's the kind of shoot where you realize that sometimes the best decision is knowing what not to overcomplicate.
