Kinder Surprise

For this Kinder Surprise tabletop commercial, director Niels Thomsen and I worked with Moviemagic Int to capture the chaos and delight of unwrapping. We shot at Moviechrome Studios with a Phantom camera operated by Sonia Veronelli, which gave us the frame rate flexibility to play with toy movement and chocolate reveal timing. Patrizio Todisco's SFX team handled the practical magic, while food stylist Iviano Ravasio kept everything camera-ready between takes. The lighting rig, managed by gaffer Gigi Pasquali and key grip Mario Zacchetti, had to be precise enough for macro work but flexible enough to follow fast-moving elements. Focus puller Gabriele Gregorig kept us sharp through every angle. What made this one tick was the collaboration between practical effects and high-speed capture, letting us stretch moments that normally happen in a blink. Oras Rhnema's color work tied it all together in post.
