Carte D'Or

For this Carte D'Or commercial directed by Paolo Tonoli at Withstand Filmland, we built a set in the middle of a field, which was a fun and interesting challenge because it let us play with two completely different moments in one location. We shot the tabletop unit on location as well, so we ran two cameras the whole time to keep pace with the energy. The macro work on the ice cream tubs needed soft, controlled lighting to show the product's texture and those warm, earthy tones without blowing out the detail. Dolly moves connected the lifestyle shots of friends enjoying Carte D'Or with the close-up beauty moments, creating a rhythm that felt natural rather than forced. Working in Milano meant dealing with unpredictable weather and light, but that constraint actually pushed us to be smarter about how we lit and moved through the space. The whole shoot came down to balancing premium product photography with genuine, playful moments that didn't feel staged.
