Buittoni + Leisi

I shot this Buitoni commercial with director Paul Butterworth in Milano, and we kept things lean and intentional. The brief called for food work that felt immediate and tactile, so we went handheld where it mattered and locked down the hero shots to let the product breathe. I used practical lighting mostly, bouncing tungsten into the spaces rather than building a rig that would slow us down. The color palette stayed warm but not oversaturated, which meant careful metering and a bit of restraint in post. It's the kind of job where you're solving for speed and authenticity at the same time, and honestly, that's when the best decisions happen on set.
