KFC Twister Box

I shot this KFC Twister Box commercial in Cape Town with director Joris Noordenbos and Chucks Studios, and honestly, the brief was deceptively simple, which always means it's going to be a puzzle. We needed to make a fast-food product look like it had real weight and appetite appeal without the usual tricks feeling tired. The location gave us natural light possibilities that we leaned into hard, but we also brought precision lighting to catch the texture of the pastry and the gloss on the fillings without blowing out. Working in South Africa meant adapting to the heat and the schedule, but that constraint actually sharpened the creative choices, forced us to be economical with our setups and intentional about every frame. The result sits somewhere between food photography discipline and commercial energy, which is where the best tabletop work lives.
